Assignments 30%
Assignments are worth 30% of your nine weeks grade.
Please be diligent in doing your assignments.
You will learn processes, skills, and problem solving.
Making mistakes and learning from your errors are key to success.
Homework may not always be graded, but should always be complete.
Assignments are low stakes and provide room for students to learn, make mistakes, and be successfull.
minor assessments 40%
Minor assessments are worth 40% of your nine weeks grade.
Most of these assessments will be schedule ahead of time, but beware of "pop quizzes."
A minor assessment is used as a way to assess your knowledge and application of a few concepts at a time that have been taught most recently.
Major Assessments 30%
Test/Exams are worth 30% of your nine weeks grade.
You will have at least 3 major assessments each grading period.
Be sure to prepare yourself for an exam.
Check resources to find review problems, online resources are a great start.
To study for a test: review vocabulary, key concepts, main ideas, and work problems out.
Be sure to check your answers and be able to explain the processes to someone else.
